The exciting design of the RT1160 reflects Astec’s vision for the future of its utility trencher lineup. This trencher boasts improved state-of-the-art features and additional power and flexibility. The John Deere 4045 turbocharged diesel engine supplies plenty of power to the tandem 90 series pumps for the ground drive and the attachment drive. With 115-horsepower, it offers unmatched performance and reliability.
The new open-platform design allows the operator to perform all functions of the machine with ease. The ground drive, backfill blade, and plow controls are conveniently located right in the arm rests of the fully suspension swivel seat. Likewise, the trencher and plow controls are right at the operator’s fingertips. It features an optional tilt-frame that allows the trencher to produce a straight bottom ditch even when working on slopes and right-of-ways. The Astec RT1160 with its proven Hydra-Shift (shift on the go) transmission and heavy-duty planetary trencher drive system raises the bar for performance, productivity, reliability, and durability. |
